Fishing for elvers

Once the inhabitants of the towns bordering the Wadis fished for consumption and then the appearance of eel aquaculture drove up prices and changed the lives of thousands of fishermen.

With the construction of dams, agricultural pollution and the harmful dumping of industrial areas, many fish have disappeared. We had the idea to take the fry downstream of the dams in the estuaries, and create an economy, jobs, to repopulate upstream dams with eels of good growth in order to regain spawning biomass.
