About Us
Nounemaroc is a company specialized in eel production, made an investment of more than 40 million dirhams to introduce in Morocco an innovative technology that allows it to reach a new threshold of its development thanks to the type of closed-circuit aquaculture
Nounemaroc is the first installation of the Maroc Vert Plan, located in Kénitra and which is connected to an amodiation of Oued Sebou in order to supply the station of eel fry called elver or pibale.

We were established in Morocco in 2006. At the time, we had signed a contract with the Moroccan government to be able to fish elvers and then stock them for export and repopulation of rivers.

About Us
BREEDING CONDITIONS
The well-being of eels can be affected by various factors, such as nutrition, the environment, handling, transport and disease. Nounemaroc stations are legally responsible to ensure that their operation does not harm fish health. Our operators, staff and transporters are well qualified and have the theoretical and practical knowledge required to ensure the well-being of fish. In addition, a great deal of research and development is currently being conducted on new technologies and management methods that could improve fish health.
water quality
Water quality is essential for fish health. Aquaculture sites shall be designed and maintained so as to allow the free movement of water within the pen. Oxygen saturation, temperature and salinity are regularly measured to ensure good water quality. Aquaculture farms have a back-up system capable of meeting the vital needs of eels in the event of a main system failure.
The installations are designed to allow fish to swim and evolve as naturally as possible. The enclosures are adapted to their location and climatic conditions. Regulations require a density of water per pen to ensure a favourable environment for fish. Facilities must not have sharp edges or sharp elements that could injure fish.

Eels Feeding
Organic feed is typically made from natural ingredients and is free from synthetic additives and preservatives. This can result in a healthier and more natural diet for the eels, potentially leading to increased growth and improved overall health. Additionally, using organic feed can help to promote sustainable and environmentally-friendly
The diet of eels must be nutritionally rich and contribute to their good health. The diet is adapted according to the age of the fish, its stage of development, its weight, its physiological and behavioural needs. As soon as it reaches a certain size, the eels are fed daily. The amount of food distributed should allow the eel to eat regularly without being overfilled.
Health & Hygiene
Proper control of infections and hygiene is essential for the health and well-being of eels. We follow many procedures to effectively prevent and control infections. Our facilities are inspected regularly, with a monthly visit of an aquaculture veterinarian.
The pens are regularly set aside to reduce the risk of infection and to avoid the spread of possible diseases. Finally, production facilities and units are cleaned regularly to ensure that personnel, work clothing and equipment do not spread infections.
